Booking and checkin was very easy and convenient. There is covered and semi secure parking at location. We tried calling ahead to see if we could reserve, but no one answered the phone. Rooms were plain, but comfortable and fairly close to the city center without breaking the bank.

The staff were very helpful l, the hotel is in great location to the thermal spa however about 30-40 minuet walk to the main centre of bars & restaurants.

This hotel was perfect for us, being situated right by Heroes square and Vajdahunyad Castle meant that we got to get photos when it was all lit up at night when there were no crowds! It is also a short 10 minute walk over to Széchenyi Thermal Baths which is cheaper if you arrive between 7 and 9am so was perfect as we got to go around all the different pools, saunas and steam rooms and drop off our wet clothes at the hotel before heading off to explore the rest of the day! The hotel is right by the main metro line you need to get to the main districts in Budapest although it is also walkable if you would prefer. Budapest is big though so if you are on a tighter schedule the metro is really convenient! The room was big, clean and modern and the shower room.was has a powerful shower, although the hairdryer is a bit useless (it takes forever to dry your hair)!

Will not recommend this hotel!

Got a room on the 4th floor where water flowed all over the bathroom and half the bedroom. The room also smelled damp. Unhealthy! Got changed to another room where the air conditioning didn't work on any of the nights. Also, small black dots appeared on the bed linen. Everything was changed when I reported it, but the small dots still appeared again. It was also a large beetle on the floor in the reception area, right next to where you eat breakfast. There was only a thin stream of water when you were going to shower. And the water in the shower suddenly became both ice cold and very hot, then ice cold again. There is also a lot of traffic noise. The hotel should have been closed and completely renovated! The only positive thing was that the elevator was fast. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this terrible place.

Overall, excellent hotel for the value. Staff is friendly, professional, super helpful. The breakfast spread was fantastic. There were 2 hiccups, one morning a the hot water tank had issues (they fixed it right away) and last night the AC was not working properly. By then there was about 9 days straight 100 Fahrenheit in Budapest, so we were not surprised for the disruption of AC service. I will return on my next trip, for sure.

A shocking experience

Simply shocking. Was denied check-in at 1455 as check-in started at 1500. Sat down to wait and joined the queue at 1500. Was checked in at 1538. No staff present. Those at work before 1500 had no interest in giving any service whatsoever. The one who arrived at 1500 was left in a horrible position with a never ending line. Contacted manager by email hours later. No response yet. My suggestion: stay away.

Avoid.

Wow, how to ruin what should have been a good trip. The condition of the rooms, whether ‘refurbished’ or not, were rubbish. The breakfast was hardly worth £1, and the laundry service was an absolute con. The air conditioning is only turned on when they decide it’s warm enough, not when you want it on demand. The shower leaks, the flooring is terrible, the windows don’t have their safety catches (need to know this if you have kids), and the whole thing just sucked. I’ve left great reviews across the rest of this European holiday, but this was the pits. All told, if your budget allows you to get an alternative, do it.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in guter Lage

Nettes Hotel, geräumiges Zimmer, gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Leider auch am Samstag morgens Renovierungsarbeiten mit viel Lärm. Parkplatz vorhanden (zu bezahlen). Lage gegenüber dem Museum der schönen Künste und nahe der U-Bahn-Station Heldenplatz.
