Lovely hotel with great character. Excellent location for access to all the sights, but didn't feel busy - very peaceful with a lovely courtyard outside. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

I loved staying here! The room was beautifully furnished and decorated and the floor to ceiling curtains were everything. Even the bathroom was gorgeous. The whole place definitely had a historic and vintage feel to it. The spiral staircase was amazing and there is also a lift. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and assisted me in making the most of my time in Budapest.

Excellent boutique hotel, great location

We loved staying here. A fabulous old building renovated with all the best original features. The location is excellent, next to but not in the entertainment areas and easily walkable to the river and all the sights. The restaurant has a Paris cafe feel, and the food is top notch, we dined like kings.

A fairytale stay

This hotel was perfect for our Budapest stay(4d,3 nights). Location was central to everything we needed to see on our visit. The hotel was so welcoming and the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached was outstanding! I wish we would have eaten there more often. Add the breakfast option. Great value and wonderful food and many choices. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything about the Gerlóczy was first class. Our room was spotless, roomy, air conditioned. The breakfast menu was varied, and the portions were such that we didn’t feel the need to eat again until late afternoon / early evening. All the staff were all extremely pleasant, helpful and delivered excellent service. We used the restaurant once during our stay, and the food we had was delicious.

Wonderful city break

A lovely, characterful hotel in an excellent central location. Very clean, warm rooms with super comfortable bed. The restaurant food is really delicious and reasonably priced.

Lovely small hotel with plenty of character. Restaurant is great too with tasty food and live music. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Location couldn’t be better, 5 minute walk from underground hub and airport shuttle bus. Many of the main attractions within walking distance too. I would definitely stay here again.

Out of ten!

Both the guy during the morning reception and the night reception were super kind and helpful. The room was very good and had everything we needed. We had a problem with the AC in the room and they immediately helped us to solve it. I will definitely come back here every time I visit Budapest, I will recommend it :)

This is a charming small hotel in an excellent location. The staff especially are stellar and very welcoming. The on-site restaurant makes delicious food! Many sites are in walking distance but Budapest’s public transit is so efficient, nothing is ever very far away. Highly recommend!

The hotel is in an excellent location. Restaurants, shopping, and sights are all within walking distance. The hotel staff was always friendly and available. In particular, Hunor, truly made our stay in Hungary more enjoyable. He was always courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. This hotel exudes Old World Charm, and is a gem.
