First the positives: convenient location, clean and spacious room, one particular staff who was very helpful. The negatives: very noisy area like Times Square, the hotel lobby and dining room had a very unpleasant odor, the breakfast was barely edible, the reception staff was generally not helpful or friendly. Overall I would not stay here again primarily because while the location was convenient it wasn’t so nice.

Great location, friendly staff, and an OK breakfast. We stayed on the fifth floor with a balcony facing the main street, and I have to say the balcony railings felt far too low, which made us almost afraid to step out onto the balcony. There was also no child safety lock on the balcony door. Close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions — overall, a very good stay!

Old world charm and elegance, and good location. Unfortunately our room was in the modern wing so it lacked the charm you see in hotel photos online. Staff was nice but cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was not well cleaned (especially the floor) though they did change towels. Room temperature is centrally controlled at 24.7C (76.5F) which was uncomfortable especially to sleep. The hotel technician was not able to change our settings and suggested we just open the window. Reception staff was nice and helpful to get us a taxi to the airport.

Astoria Danubius, a lovely hotel to stay

Astoria Danubius was a lovely hotel to stay in. The rooms and corridors were very clean. Bed was big and comfortable. The cafe/bar staff were lovely and helpful, it was a great place to have food or a drink in.

Our room was great, as it had obviously recently been renovated. The rest of the hotel was quite poor. The breakfast wasn’t great. Cold food and limited option. Considering the Cafe that the hotel had open to the public displayed really good quality food, the food provided in the B&B was substandard in my opinion. However, the room was great, and the location was spot on.

Great location and lovely hotel

A very nice hotel - it's old in style but it's very clean and comfortable. Reception was very helpful and polite when we had an enquiry. It's a perfect place to stay for a few nights (we stayed for three nights). We caught the bus from the airport and it dropped us one minute away from the hotel, and there are many transport links nearby. I would definitely stay there again.
