"This hotel was perfect, lovely room, perfect location. We loved it."

"Good location for the centre. Breakfast good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. We stayed 3rd floor up, which might be harder walking 50 odd stairs for people with disabilities. £10 per day parking. Once there don't loose your spot and left it there during our stay.We hada great time there, good exercise for the Minster tower stair climb."

"Really great hotel with so much attention to detail. Record players in the room and a huge selection of records is a really nice touch. The Radio was on when we arrived to our room and the Pantry is generous & a really unique touch. Canadian lady on the Bar was knowledgeable & super friendly (Pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the extensive bar menu was priced). Just really really cool & great location."

"The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York."

"The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in and whenever we interacted with them. Our room was clean and in good condition. The outdoor beer garden was a great place to enjoy an afternoon drink, and family friendly for our five-year-old to join. The hotel was located a short distance from the Bootham Bar entrance to the city centre and conveniently located near other amenities."

"Cool. Modern clean. Lots of conveniences. Great location. Although grab and go + bar drinks were very expensive. Luckily everything was within a couple of minute walk including grocery stores. No in room fridge. No in room phone but everything else was great. Breakfast was great. Lots of options"

"3/5 - A mixed stay at Malmaison York The rooftop bar was the highlight of our visit — stylish atmosphere, great views, and genuinely excellent staff who were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, the reception experience fell short. We arrived with friends to check in, and despite two receptionists being available, we were ignored while a couple who arrived after us were served first. It set the wrong tone, and no information was offered about breakfast times or dining...

"Beautiful hotel and room. Really convenient for the station too. Very efficient air conditioning which was hugely appreciated in the hot weather. Christina on reception showed us to our lovely room, that’s a great touch. Highly recommended, we will return."

"Very clean room, well organized and separated of toilet & batheoom and wash sink so we dont have to wait when one use it. Good security. Nice staff. Good atmoshhere and environment. Location is closed to the river. Perfect to stay here. We love it and will come back fore sure."

"An excellent experience. Stayed on a Sunday night and the hotel was fairly quiet so was upgraded to a suite which was fabulous. My daughter is at York University so we have been frequent visitors and generally stay here. It felt therefore like a reward for our frequent visits which made me feel like a valued guest!"
