We stayed at The Shananagens for two nights for the Blackpool illuminations. I mailed Sarah to see if she could save me a car parking space and replied within minutes saying no problem. Also mentioned it was my daughters 6th Birthday.
We arrived on Monday lunchtime and the parking space was saved and when we went upto our room, Sarah decorated the room with birthday banners, birthday card, sweets, cakes and other treats. It was a fantastic touch and my daughter loved it.
The room was very clean and beds were very comfy. My two daughters had their own space in a separate area of the room, which they loved!! Breakfast was excellent and we wish we could have stayed for longer.
We will be back and looking forward to seeing Sarah and Ken who are so kind and welcoming.
We loved it.. the owner of the hotel very nice chatty guys .. kids loved it .. breakfast it's was delicious.. hotel in middle of most of Blackpool attraction.. definitely will come back again.. thank you guys for great welcome ...
Guest house was lovely and the host were very nice and friendly. We enjoyed the full English breakfast and proximity to all Blackpool attractions.
If you've never been to Blackpool(like we hadn't), best to go in the summer months...we went in April when it was so windy and cold so we didn't enjoy our weekend away as much as we should have - good job Guest house was nice and warm.
A friend and I stayed at Shenanigans for a Soul weekend.
Whilst the room was basic it did just what we wanted.
Easy access to Trams and buses, for access to Blackpool Tower, Winter Gardens, Piers and Pleasure Beach. For those people who like walking The Tower is only a short 15 minute walk away.
Breakfast was substantial and filling. Sarah the landlady was very helpful and attentive.
Fantastic hosts. Go out of their way to make sure your stay is a great 1. Advised on trips out restaurant s etc. Room was 2 separate rooms in 1 big 1. Great for us as the girls are 14 and had their own space. Are car was parked outside hotel. Location fantastic. Really happy would go back tomorrow xx
