They have assigned beach chairs, you tell them what area you want and they'll put your room number on some that are available. "We recently stayed at Sonesta and while the hotel itself is beautiful with amazing views and a great location, our experience was unfortunately very frustrating. Upon check-in, we specifically booked an ocean view room but were initially given Room 101, which had a parking lot/front entrance view instead. After having to make a fuss, we were finally moved to Room 311, which was much better. However, on days 2 and 3, the AC stopped working. On top of that, there was heavy construction going on...

We enjoyed our VIP treatment of a free bottle of wine and free breakfast during our stay! The location is perfect. Absolute serenity, away from the hustle and bustle in areas like Simpson Bay and Phillipsburg. World definitely recommend!"
