"This was a fantastic place off the beaten path! The hosts were amazing, the breakfast was the best we have encountered in Italy! Family run and operated! The attention to detail was fantastic. Restaurants were within walking distance and the hosts had excellent recommendations for us! We loved this place! "

"It was very inconvenient to get to the hotel because cars couldn’t get there being very narrow with the road. Reception was excellent, the room was very spacious. The shower was weak. The worst was the breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. The hard boiled eggs were cold, taken out of the freezer and 2-3 days old where the yolks were very dark green. Yuck. All the pastries and pound cakes were not fresh and hard. Nothing is fresh and they charge you for the juices. Bad experience....

"Very helpful staff from check in to checkout. Quaint out of the way location. Walking distance, without much luggage, to the train station. 10 minute drive with luggage. Breakfast was solid. Several options. Good coffee. If I were cruising from there again I’d stay here."

"The breakfast was good. Our older gentleman waiter was not to good at all. Big language barrier. He made sure we understood the word tips.LOL Messed up the invoice and order more than once. No ice for drinks. A bottle of water was more expensive than a glass of wine. The owner of the hotel Alexandrio could speak English and French. Very nice man but not always available. Helped us out. No shops nearby. Cleanses of room was good. Small room. All tv channels were in Italian. 150 euros for...

"Don't do it. The beds are awful (like sleeping on giant toothpics) that was the top of the mattress. The pillows are flat and you get one each. There is nothing on site or within walking distance. AND if you book through a third party like expedia dont plan on getting the room you paid for or have it come close to what it looks like on pictures. The property is dated and needs much tlc."

"The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The large pool had a lot of chairs to lounge in which was nice. The beach bar was nice and relaxing, and they had great drinks and appetizers. It is in a great location, walkable to many restaurants, and even had a close outdoor restaurant that had life music. You could walk from the train station, but we took a cheap uber because of my knee."

"Hotel Isola was a perfect start to our honeymoon. We had the sea front view which was exactly what was promised. Opening the window in the morning to hear the waves hitting the shore was fantastic. A few minutes walk from the beach and the piazza outside had many great cafes and restaurants. The concierge was helpful in telling us how to get to Santa Severa by public transit and also made nice espresso on the morning too. Would recommend this place!"

"Chiara, the receptionist was outstanding, helpful , with any request . There was a problem with the fridge in the room. Upon notifying her, she immediately offered other rooms . Hotel is slightly out of the way , but practically minutes away from center . The continental breakfast was nice. Service was great ."

"We loved the large outdoor lap swimming pool and enjoyed buying beverages and food poolside. The breakfast buffet was excellent and included espresso drinks to order. Their on-site reatiwas truly special, both regarding food and service."

"In spite of the other reviews I read I found the hotel to be in very good shape. Although it is an older property it look as if it had been recently painted and there were no damaged tiles anywhere I could see. The breakfast is continental plus scrambled eggs and the attendants were constantly checking and bringing out more items. The room is very small but good enough for a night before your cruise."

"Well, first of all the air-conditioning in Italy is controlled. And it was very hot in the rooms and they had no way of making it cooler. The breakfast was really good Overall, the staff were very unfriendly. It was like you were a bother if you ask them a question. The language barrier seemed to be a problem, but instead of trying, they just would not answer you or be rude. I would not recommend this hotel"

"My family and I had an unexpected stay here for a night and it was wonderful! The staff were friendly and kind, we had a great night's sleep and the breakfast in the morning was delicious."
