The location avoids all of the tourist packed areas but still very close to the less visited area of Acadia called the Schoodic Peninsula. It's very rural but close to some bigger towns like Winter Harbor. There are some reasonably priced basic restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive. Be prepared with bug spray as the cottage sits back in the woods and mosquitoes...

One room is right at a stairway with a bathroom across the hall that anyone can use and the other is also next to a stairway and the kitchen."
