Friendly staff

The shower has a rather odd system to open and have hot water, it took us 2 days to realize! But all we needed to do is ask the friendly staff, they are always happy to help! I also had an issue with the key and they assisted me even if it was off hours. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Incredible quality service and facilities, especially at the price point. The staff, Leo in peticular, is always going above and beyond to help you. He can give recommendations for just about anything you need. He is mutilingual and very sociable, making us feel welcomed from day one. The snack bar is always fully stocked, and the espresso machine is top notch. Great for a luxurious morning brew. My wife and I highly recommend The Star of Sathorn for extended stays because it really felt like home.

My stay in the hotel bedroom was overall adequate, but there were several issues that affected comfort. The room itself was basic and met minimum expectations; however, the bathroom had noticeable problems. The toilet was not properly fixed to the floor and moved when used, and there was a persistent foul odor in the washroom. The silicone around the bathroom fixtures was visibly yellowed, which gave the space an unclean appearance. In the bedroom, the curtains did not block out light effectively, making it difficult to sleep comfortably, especially in the early morning. While the hotel may be acceptable for a short stay, improvements to cleanliness, maintenance, and overall room comfort are needed.

Not worth the price

We stayed here for 3 weeks. The room was tiny. The bed was small and uncomfortable. It felt like it needs to be replaced. The room only got cleaned when we asked and not every time. This property is not close to anything...which isn't bad if you speak Thai. It is close to the BTS but we took Grab cars everywhere we went. They offer laundry services but they are way overpriced. The workers spoke only Chinese and Thai so we had to communicate only through WhatsApp. The communication barrier was real. Considering the prices you can get in Bangkok, skip this one and get a different hotel.

A Wonderful Gem

My experience at the star of Saddlehorn hotel was just superb. It is a small hotel that offers personalized service and excellent accommodations. It is decorated in a unique, personalized and beautiful way. Cleanliness is outstanding. My breakfasts were amazing with every detail done with care and an eye for aesthetics as well as a variety of interesting tastes. I am visually impaired and the staff went out of their way to help me get around the city. They looked after me as though I was family. Thank you to Jucy ,, the owner, Tor and Kate, two wonderful staff members. You made my stay memorable.

Good hotel near to BTS station

I stay 4 days and had a great time. Staff was always helpful and super nice. My booking included breakfast and I liked very much Thai style served breakfast. BTS station near to hotel. Good Wi-Fi and it worked whole my stay. Two 7-Eleven shops and few Thai food restaurants near to hotel.

對於一個不要求酒店有豪華設施, 只要求住得舒適的我, 這間酒店絕對是出類拔萃. 酒店座落於一個民居區域, 遠離喧鬧的商業區, 但距離BTS站只3分鐘步程, 便利店只在1分鐘步程, 非常方便. 酒店由兩夫妻經營, 有着住民宿的親切感覺, 房間內的舒適度又遠遠超出民宿的標準. 酒店提供的早餐是由老闆娘親自主理, 每天不同, 老闆娘會在房客入住時詢問客人的口味喜好, 照顧不同人的品味, 早餐份量絕對足夠, 味道亦勝過五星級酒店, 因每份早餐都是為客人度身訂造的. 老闆也會非常樂意為住客提供在曼谷的吃喝玩樂指引. 若希望感受住在曼谷有朋友般的接待享受, 這家酒店沒錯了.

꼭 여기를 선택하셔야 할 이유라도 있을까요?

신생이신데..죄송한데, 이 가격으로 왜 여기를 묶어야 하는지 모르겠어요 1인실 매우 좁고요 (이건 1인실이니 그러려니 하는데...) 가격은 2인실보다 비싸고..아침은 정말 가정식으로 좋게 나오는데..가정식? 이거 하나만 보고 여기에 묵기에는.... 그냥 이 지역을 원한다면 옆에 W호텔로 가는게 나을꺼 같고요 아니면 그냥 다운타운으로 가시는게 더 나을꺼 같아요 여기 들어올때 여성분이면 무서울 정도로 골목이기도 하고... 사실 너무 황당한건데..휴지가 여분이 없고요...(다 떨어지면...밤에는 연락도 잘 안되는...) 문도 열쇠로 열어야 되고요...(보통 1-2만원대에서 이렇게 하는데..) 층간 소음도 있었어요..(뭐 이건 운이라고 해야 할지...) 또..아침 시간이 너무 늦어요...아침 8시에 시작을 하니 뭐..아침 프로그램을 갈수가 없어요.. 그리고 숙박해 보시면 알텐데 엄청난 외곽이에요...W호텔도 같긴 한데..거긴 이쁘고 저렴하기나 하지.. 쓸말이 많은데..여튼...전혀 추천하고 싶지 않아요... 이건...주인분도 아셔야 할꺼 같아서 꼭 적어요. 가격을 조정하시거나, 다른 곳에 비해서 분명히 좋은 점을 찾으셔야 할꺼 같아요

Officially my favorite hotel in Bangkok

I'm usually the kind of person who stays in hostels, so to stay here was a real treat and whenever I need my own room, I will always book the Star of Sathorn from now on! The family who runs it is very sweet, speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable about the local area and pointed me to a place where I ended up getting an amazing massage. I got a delicious lemongrass tea drink upon arrival too! The rate I booked didn't include breakfast so I cannot review that. Wongwian Yai BTS stop (with an elevator!) is literally a two minutes walk around the corner, VERY convenient. 7/11 is a minute away and there are a load of street food vendors in every direction. The room itself was quiet and very comfortable. Nice bed! I was in a "London" room. The only thing I would bring up in a negative aspect is that it may have been a little awkward if I were sharing with someone because there's no hiding yourself on the toilet haha, but perfectly fine for someone comfortable with that or a solo traveler! It's a beautifully-decorated room of ample size and gets cleaned daily :) I will be back!

オーナーご夫妻がとても親切に対応して下さいました。 色々アドバイスをいただいて、安全な旅が出来ました。 中心部からは外れていますが、BTSの駅がすぐそばなので全く問題なかったです。 全体的に灯りを落とした落ち着いた作りなので、しいて言えばデスクに読書灯等の灯りが欲しかったです。

Luksushotel...i mindre målestok ❤️

Sathorn er et helt specielt lille hotel....det er anden gang vi er der. Et familiehotel, som bestræber sig på at skabe en hyggelig atmosfære. Alt er fuldstændig stilrent, med små pynteting overalt, meget elegant. Værtsparret er meget hjælpsomme med tilrettelæggelse af ture i Bangkok. Værelserne er smagfuldt indrettet og sengene super. Morgenmaden er også helt speciel...med små meget fine anretninger, og alle ønsker bliver opfyldt. Skytrain ligger kun 3-4 minus gang fra hotellet....og så kommer man nemt rundt til seværdighederne. Taksinbroen ligger kun 3 stop med Skytrain og så er man ved floden, hvorfra man kan tage til f.eks, Asiatique eller MBK. Vi kan virkelig anbefale hotellet på det varmeste....

Had stayed here for a night from 12-13 Mar 2019. We had wanted to go Hua Hin and thought this location is a favourable location for us (near BTS for our evening trips and near Southern Bus Terminal for next day trip to Hua Hin). This is probably the most pleasant hotel around Bangkok that I have stayed in. Though a boutique hotel, service is better than those 5 stars hotel (I had stayed in 5 star hotel in other parts of my trip to make this comparison) - Drinks provided at check in to fresh fruits and snacks ready in your room. Homemade Breakfast was great (FYI, starts at 8am for time sensitive travelers), staff/owner recommending places to go and how to go without us asking. Only small minus point was certain toiletries items is at lobby/lift area which I was not aware until later part of the stay (probably used to having all toiletries available in room already). Overall, a great experience staying in this hotel and would definitely recommend to travelers
