The Lobby was lovely, bright and spacious.
The rooms were extremely dated and our particular room was far from the central hotel. We were disappointed with our room and its lack modernity even in respect of basic electrical connections and toiletries provided.
We had a fantastic time at the Shangri-La in Bangkok. There were four of us, so we booked an executive suite, which also gave us access to the private lounge. This was really convenient because they had a great selection of food, and the staff were always very hospitable and welcoming. I felt very safe in the hotel.
Amazing property ! Had some problems with the blackout curtains and they upgraded me to a suite ! First clsss service all around ! Don’t think you can find much better than this hotel ! Staff was great !
Came for a wedding being held on the grounds; fantastic resort-style hotel with good buffet breakfast, convenient ferry to ICONSIAM, and phenomenal staff and rooms. A great treat spending the time here.
Room was a nice size. The pools were nice. Excellent fitness area fir a hotel. Had a balcony that was actually useable. Only detraction was that we arrived before check in time and couldn't check in before the check in time.
Shangri-la Bangkok is a great place to stayed. The view is fantastic.

Our stay at the shangri-La Bangkok has been a little disappointing. we were woken at 7AM by pipes banging in the ceiling of our bathroom. That continued for over an hour. At breakfast we were served a cup of coffee in a cup with dried on coffee stains. The waitress took it away then poured the coffee into a new cup and brought it straight back. I asked for a new cup of coffee. The phone in our room did not work. The initial impressions as you arrive are that this is a 5 Star hotel with staff everywhere to assist you. Check in was seamless and I was persuaded to become a Shangri La Club member. At check out I advised the staff member of the issues with the room and my experience at Breakfast. She responded by asking me if I wanted the cost of breakfast deducted from the deposit we had given when checking in. No apology / no acknowledgment as she said something to her colleague and that was it! Did not care one bit! Probably going to choose a different hotel when travelling in the future.
