A really great place for solo travellers - a really social crowd, lots of space indoors and out to grab a beer and meet people, but laid back enough to have chill time if you need it!
Everything was clean and modern, good location, overall a great hostel!
I like the property the staff and other guests were really friendly and nice. I would stay again. I think it would be nice if the bed sheets were changed every day. It's a hot country and after a couple of night, the sheets will start to smell. The cleaning ladies only seem to put fresh sheets on your very first night.
This hostel is really nice and clean, great location and the staff all speak english and are so nice. Got a good common area so its perfect for a solo traveler to get to mingle with other travelers. I will definetly stay there again!
It's located 5 mins from Khaosan road (party place) its social so if your travelling solo then you get to meet people from different parts of the world. It's safe , staff is very welcoming and help you in all the possible way to make your stay fruitful. Every day they have an activity so you dont have to worry. E.g.: Wednesday cooking class, thursday: muay thai match, etc
Very social hostel, great for solo travellers. Right next to Khao San road and walking distance from lots of tourist attractions. 22 bed dorm has walls and curtains to make it feel more private. However I was very disappointed when I my bus got in early at 4 AM and I was told that I couldn't be in the hostel before 6am unless I paid 100 baht or bought a bed. I couldn't even leave my bags there. Very unwelcoming! The hostel is also expensive for what you get, no breakfast, water or coffee.
Great hostel with a good location for the old town and temples. My main disappointment was the air conditioning being off during the day and until 6pm. Awful if you’ve returned from a day of sightseeing and want to shower and rest a little before dinner. It was just too hot, and needed a couple more hours earlier of air con.
This was my first solo trip and first stay in a hostel. I stayed in several more during this trip and they were all very nice (thanks to Trip Advisor reviews). The location of this hostel is ideal, not too far from Khaosan Road but not too close. It was about 2 streets away and it was fairly quiet at night. It was walking distance to the Grand Palace. I stayed in the all female dorm, in a top bunk. The building is very secure and it requires two different swiped of your room key to access your specific dorm. There was always someone at the front desk monitoring who comes and goes, very safe. You can buy a beer or bottled water from the front desk. Lots of people sitting around in the lounge area and there was often people up having drinks on the outdoor patio area, but you could not hear them from the dorms. There is a resident dog, he is very peaceful and friendly and was usually laying around on the front patio.
I made a friend while staying here that traveled with me the rest of my trip which was amazing.
I would choose this Hostel again.
If traveling from the airport (BKK), take the airport bus, really cheap, which will drop you off about 2 blocks away.
If traveling to DMK, I think I paid 150 baht to the front desk and they arraigned for my transfer to DMK.
If you need to exchange money, use the Super Rich exchange at BKK airport on the bottom level near the Rail Link, best exchange rates I found in Thailand for buying and selling USD.
This place is okay for young travelers, but the beds are not very comfortable, and they don't use AC for much of the day :/ Also, the bathrooms are tiny with no space to get ready for the day. Overall, not bad but I wouldn't stay here again
Close to koh san road, but not on the road! 2-3 min walking to koh san road..
the best social area i have ever been in, its the mattresses on the floor that makes it good.
Overall, very good experince with big lockers to lock your own big bagpack
The best hostel I've ever stayed:D met so many awesome travelers there! Hostel always provides free food and activities!! Love this place! Will definitely come back in the future
It's extremely easy to meet other people in the common area, so great for solo travelers. Beds are quite nasty and uncomfortable, and you will have to accept being woken up a few times each night by drunk people going to bed. Overall the hostel is alright. Nothing spectacular, but a great place to stay if you're up for partying hard.
