Would rather have slept rough on the street

outdated old style hotel

The staff at reception on day 1 was not polite at all. When asked to replace the room to lower level was refused straight regardless of the hotel was floors were empty. Was brushed off by saying that is the only room they have available. The overall rooms are outdated old, Duvet was not clean having stains.

Worst hotel experience i EVER had. When i arrived they gave my room to someone else. No help whatsoever, then the day after i checked in after so many wrongs and arguments. Then i found out there were bedbugs in the room. They offered to ‘change the sheets’ ? Checked out immediatelly. DO NOT BOOK THIS. -10/10

The property is old but it’s clean. The room has no new anything except the flat screen tv. It smells old, like your great grandmother’s house who hasn’t moved anything or bought new furniture in 50 years. However, it’s clean and livable (aside from tiny ants). My room didn’t have working AC but the ceiling fan cooled down the room just fine. There’s also a small fridge but it didn’t work. For the most part, the hotel was quiet except for occasional children crying at night. The staff are polite but don’t talk much and I hardly ever saw them. If you want anything like more towels, toilet paper, or your trash thrown, you’ll have to ask. Otherwise there’s no attempt to clean the room. You cannot beat the price and location of this hotel! There’s a lot of other hotels and hostels in the surrounding area. In addition to tons of laundry services. Also, Two minutes up an alley way leads to streets that have many restaurants to choose from. I like Momo restaurant the best!

Hotel is like a 2 or less stars hotel. The misses: 1/Don’t expect the staffs to come and clean your room. You can be gone all day no one will come change the sheets, towels, etc. Unless you tell them. 2/ Equipments were barely working. AC unit was just in working condition but you can’t control the intensity of the fan or power. It’s at the minimum so it will take time for the room to cool down. I just left it ON when i left the room. Bathroom and restroom are just the minimum. In this part of the world, everyone use a bidet. So if you need toilet paper. Go get it at 7-eleven or ask. I just didn’t bother and got some at the convenience store. The equipments are old so sometimes, for some reasons, the smells from sewers come back to the room. Close the bathroom or you’ll have surprises. The goods: 1/ it’s closed to several restaurants. You’ll have plenty of choices to find whatever you want to eat. Staffs from the restaurants are friendly.

The location is very good, in the old town neighborhood among the locals. All main attractions are walkable distance but there are also many buses to take you all around the city, just check the lines Googl maps. Khao San road is also near and places to eat, many temples are in the area. Muay Thai arena is also 15 minutes on foot away. Location is great. But... The hotel itself is very old and shabby. The photos you will see on the bookig sites do not match what you will see on the spot. The room were covered with tones of dust everywhere I touched, the fridge was not working well, turning into ice anything put iside to cool. In front of the windows there are some panels so there is no air circulation inside and is always too hot. I don't know when the hotel was built but seems since then was not touched a single thing nor repared, nor clined. At least the bed sheats and towels were clean.The toilets had the worst condition I have ever seen. And there are a lot of small yellow ants all over the room. I left open a small bag of pinuts inside my bag and in the morning found it full of them inside. Sometimes they got in the bed. Left side of the hotel is very noisy in the morning, a lot of small birds and crows are making such a noise since 5 am that wakes up from a sleep. Or a neighbour doing some early works in his yard, or very often someone is riding a motirbike there. Not so comfortable stay, the price tells everything but what is presented online is misliding.

La cama y las almohadas duras, el edredón viejo y manchado, te cobran el aire acondicionado, no había shampoo, las puertas de los baños con aldaba que se caía de vieja y deteriorada, sin agua en el lavamanos, ducha y baño, las fotos muy engañosas. No valió la pena.

They must have photoshopped all the grime and mold out of the photos. The staff barely acknowledged us. We were on the third floor with no elevator so we had to carry our bags. Definitely not disability accessible. One of the windows in our room wouldn’t lock which made me feel unsafe in an already sketchy area. Taxis had a miserable time trying to find the location. The ceiling fan was black with dust and grime that literally flew down chunks of grime onto me in my sleep. The bed had one thin sheet and one blanket, stained. I didn't dare sit on the toilet. We stayed 3 nights and hated every second of it.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

This is the worst hotel in the world, I wouldn’t even let my dog spend a night here! The first room we were offered hadn’t been cleaned from the previous occupants. The second room we were offered, the door was rotted, there wasn’t any bedding on the beds and the bathroom was full of dead flies. Didn’t stay any longer to be offered a third and just walked out. I know it was cheap for £12 for the night, but they basically just robbed me of that money.

The hotel was basic and not like the photos shown on Expedia at all. The first night was horrible; we were given a room with torn blanket (and told there was none to replace until the next day), the bathroom door was rotted, the sink faucet would not turn off, and the shower only dripped water. I got bitten all over by bed bugs that might. Upon threatening to check out, we were moved to a different room … much improved, although still a basic room. The staff were not friendly or unfriendly but hardly spoke English, so I had to rely on Google translate. Again, I stress the hotel is NOT as represented by the photos in Expedia but if you don’t get room 160, you might be ok. However, I can only say that for room 354. I think Expedia has to take some responsibility for not verifying that there might be false advertising on some of the hotels they listed. This was not the first time I have encountered similar situation. Beware when you book through Expedia.
