Lebua at State Tower hotels in Bang Rak

"The entrance grandeur hides what lies beneath. A grand entrance welcoming staff, bellboys, elevator staff all give a great first impression. However, scratch away the surface and the bed linen was stained, sinks and bathroom was dirty and mouldy, towels were stained, wardrobe doors did not close properly, lounge table was dirty and uncleaned, and a few other marks and stains could be found on floors and around the room. Such a shame as it has real potential, but we would not return, as if you cannot trust the cleanliness of bedding and towels, what else has not been cleaned suitably. View from balcony was great, but matters little if unsure of who has been in the bed before you. Luckily only there one night. Breakfast had a lot of choice, but cold sausages, undercooked eggs, overcooked bacon, all let it down. Basically missing the sharpness of a quality hotel, and missing the cleanliness of a basic motel. "

"Clean, comfortable room, great bed and pillows. Beautiful outdoor pool and jacuzzi with super powerful jets. Close to local trains. Avoid: their rooftop sky bar. It’s plain awful! Awful experience getting up to it, even as a hotel guest. No queue jump, no priority over non hotel guests. Gaining access involves staggered multiple queues and lifts. It’s painfully slow even at 10pm when low peak! Staff were frankly border line rude in the bar itself, with one queue solely to take your order and money and then another queue to collect your drinks. It lacks atmosphere, vibe and service. It’s simple an observation (flat deck space) for social media posers to take endless selfies. "

"I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and 10 yr old son. We had the king bed and we were all able to sleep comfortably on one bed. The sofa was large enough to have someone sleep there if needed as well. We loved the breakfast buffet sue to their variety of food to suit many palates. The service was spectacular. Our shower didnt drain since day 1 and once we told the staff, a maintenace man was there within 10 minutes or less. It is conveniently located to walkable nail salons and 711s among restaurants and much more. 16 minute walk to the BTS station as well. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The hotel has been upgraded since our last visit and it is very nice. The location is perfect as there are delicious and affordable restaurants on the same street and a wonderful food market around the corner 5 minutes walk. We really appreciated the free tuk tuk shuttle service to the nearby Skytrain station. I would definitely stay here again."
