"I appreciated that the property is gated and guarded 24/7, and the check-in process was very fast. The location is perfect, being situated directly behind Ocho Rios beach and across from Island Village and Main Street. I also enjoyed the pool, which was clean and never crowded. Staying here allowed me to connect with the local culture and meet some wonderful people. However, there were a few issues with the room. The microwave did not work and the AC did not get cold. While we made it work using the ceiling fans and balcony doors, these are areas that need attention. Please also note that as an older resort, the lack of elevators, in-room phones, and fitness amenities may be a consideration for other guests. The front desk staff was always available and helpful. I believe Fisherman's Point Resort could be a 10/10 experience with some upgrades to the facilities and appliances."

"The hotel, food, drinks, entertainment and staff were amazing. The only issue was check-in. We arrived after 330 p.m. Check-in was at 3p.m. Our room wasn't ready so they took our bags and gave us our wristbands for the resort. We were told to come back after grabbing something to eat. We did just that. When we got back, it took us another 45 minutes to get our room assignment. There were so many guests and not enough staff. The staff were trying their best to process everyone while dealing with several aggravated guests. They handled everything as quickly as possible. That was my only complaint."
