Staff was non existent and didn’t do anything if you had a problem. The check in process is the worst of any resort in the Caribbean. Be prepared to be in line for over 2 hours to check in. Each person takes 15 to 20 minutes for some reason. Blood on my sheets when I checked in. Nobody cared. Food was ok. Deserts are the crappy cheap fake cakes and pastry you get at Chinese buffets. Fish was raw in the middle one night (have pictures of all of this). No atm on the property. They instruct you to walk to another hotel to get cash out? When I did need change they can’t break a $100 bill. What kind of resort can’t break a 100? Half the resort is calm and peaceful with an infinity pool. The other side has crappy dj’s at the pool making your room shake. The whole resort has a carnival cruise line vibe (all party no relaxing). I understand that’s what some people want but if I pay to go to the Caribbean I want to relax and have a drink on the beach. If you lose the plastic bracket they give you during the stay.. it’s a $250 fee. Lots of issues with the stay! Not sure if I would return if it was free.
I love that the hotel is clean and the staff members are personable and professional. I absolutely loved the nightly entertainment, the performers are gret at their job, best performers so far out of all the hotels ive visited.
There were many great food options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Activities every night we were there which was very enjoyable for everyone including the children. I recommend this resort.

There were no security personnel or security cameras throughout the resort. Very unsafe for a female. We were approached by 2 random men who claimed to stay at the resort. We stayed together as a group because we felt super unsafe.
The Front Desk Employees were very nice, professional and knowledgeable. Ms. Sabrina was great whike hosting her pool game, she was very funny. She's a big asset to the resort. All the shows were nice accept the Michael Jackson impersonator. Restaurants weren't too accessible unless you make an appointment days ahead of time. The food was nothing to brag about.
Most of the workers or employees walk around looking mad or upset.
Great resort, amazing beaches, property is well maintained, dinning options endless, clean, staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall great impression - we will return! Thank you for your great hospitality and customer service.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always busy ensuring that the areas are kept clean and inviting. This resort is definitely a family friendly environment and I will revisit with the family.
I have been multiple times and I enjoy this particular resort.

The property was beautiful. Only 1 elevator worked and the room had a musty smell but was clean otherwise. The food was very good. Most of the staff was okay but we had an uncomfortable situation when a staff member approached us to complain about the amount of his tip. Absolutely rude and unacceptable.

The main buffet was basic and repeated every morning and every night maybe with one entree changed. There were roaches crawling on counters where the buffet was located also roaches located and the bathroom of the rooms. Had a long flight getting there with check in was at 3:00 p.m. which was on the website but after checking in at 3:00 p.m. I was told check-in was now changed to 4:00 p.m. then 4:00 p.m. I was told I basically just had to wait on housekeeping to get the room together and a rude inconsidered manner by front desk staff.
The rooms wasn’t ready when we got there, had to wait a hour. We had bugs in our room and ac wasn’t working properly. The food was okay but seen a bug at the buffet one of my nights there. Housekeeping was good with getting us what we needed far as towels and essentials. The hotel rooms needs to be upgraded.
You arrive on time after 3pm to still have to wait 2 hrs to get your room keys after traveling all day. Mind you we stood in a long line to check in to still wait. We took our own bags up cause when the room was ready there was hardly any staff up front.Then your room is not cleaned well. The linens and towels smelled like mildew. It was hard to get clean wash clothes .we just brought some. We asked several times but kept getting towels.the food is not good. We all had the runs everyday. We kept looking for local food to eat but was taken to the cruise line Margaritaville where JamIndian restaurant was nasty and service was terrible.We stayed at the RIU in Negril before and the resort was very clean and food was pretty good with variety. The staff in Negril was amazing. The staff in RIU Ocho Rios some staff was helpful at times but more than a few had a nonchalant rude attitude. Regardless we still tipped good because it could be the corporation that creating the poor morale amongst the staff. Again in Negril everyone is so welcoming and we have stayed at several resorts in Negril.. they are just welcoming and nice there.This was a bigger RIU so I felt like they did the very bare minimum on food and hotel accommodations. The drinks and entertainment was better for a family that has older kids. If they fix the food/room accommodations/ check in process this would be a great place for family. They need up to date computers and technology to check in and out.
