"The Red Mansion which we stayed is conveniently located near the entrance of the Mont. reminder to hotel restaurant booking was helpful. The instructions to check in was incomplete as we had to call the hotel to obtain the codes to access the check in compound."

"The hotel is absolutely unique in that it has the best possible, unobstructed view of the Mont St Michel. However, the property is dated and a good renovation is needed. One important problem is that there is no air-conditioning and the rooms can get quite warm. The restaurant is also striking with its view on the Mont, but the food is not high quality. Another problem is accessing the place. There is a system where customers are being given a code to enter a restricted area. The code was never sent to me and I spent 30’ trying to contact the hotel for somebody to give it to me. The code, however, does not work when you try to leave the area and return back. You need a new one and story repeats itself. Very frustrating…"

"This lodging consists of a group of hotels which are located on or slightly off the main street of Mt St Michelle. The check in process is somewhat complex with stops in two offices in separate locations, What is not disclosed in the lodging data is that there are multiple hotels, and the Expedia booking process did not allow to determine in which you are staying, This could be of particular importance for people with mobility issues. It is also disappointing because you wont likely be stating in the location published on Expedia. The rooms are small, consistent with most boutique European hotels. The carpet appeared to be somewhat in disrepair, Overall, the lodging is serviceable but not especially comfortable. It is best suited for a short(1-2 day) stay in a fabulous location,"

"Can’t check in before 1600. Your names and allocated rooms appear on a list. Reception shuts at 1600. If you have a problem with your room there is no one to take ownership of the problem and resolve it there and then. We had an upstairs studio apartment which had a very small bedroom and awkward to get into bed because of the sloping roof. On arrival the blinds wouldn’t shut and the bathroom sink plug wouldn’t pop up. Both issues were resolved the next day. We are getting on a bit and didn’t expect a 1st floor studio apartment with no outdoor space but we should have read the small print on the website. It was hard to differentiate between the rooms on the website and what each offered. You had to trawl through the rooms individually and see if the blurb had balcony or picnic area. Pool wasn’t open when we were there but the location was nice and convenient for the town, restaurants and the pleasant walk to Mount St Michel."
