The staff were fabulous but in the evening you just were so short of staff for servicing the dining area and booking people in to the hotel … in fact I counted 2persons to do the check in, bar, and a busy restaurant for orders etc … so well done to them … the evening food was superb and breakfast was fine

We weren't sure about staying this far from the Mont St Michel, but it was a great experience with good facilities and great staff. It was one of the best values for our dozen hotel stops on this vacation.

Great stay at this property. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a bit small but in good condition, bathroom reminded us of an airplane. Will be back.

I don’t recommend this place. Bed was just a thin futon on top of a wooden platform. It was not a mattress! Room is very small. Bathroom was super tiny with barely room to comfortably use the toilet. Towels were so thin and worn. This is more in line with Super 8 Motel. It is not a hotel by any standards.

A basic hotel near a highway and close to a shopping center. One may use it as a base for exploring nearby attractions including Mont-Saint-Michelle, Bayeux and other places. A good tasty breakfast.

The breakfast was very good, if expensive (welcome to France). After multiple trips to breakfast restaurants to eat bread and coffee, having eggs and bacon was a real treat. Yes I am from Canada. Shower was new and relatively roomy. Small room, but well layed out, and we enjoyed 2 twin beds.

3 times a charm

"3 times a charm". After changing the room twice, the 3rd room (all rooms look exactly the same) was finally a comfort. We chose this hotel because of the name "Bay of St. Mont Michel" and also the fact that they had airconditioning. Our first view was of the Formule 1 hotel, which is managed by Ibis as well and that for half the price. We asked if there was a room without the view of the Formule 1 hotel and they switched us to the otherside, with a bit of a nicer view. No worries, we were only staying one night, so we were happy that they were friendly enough to accomidate us. But in that second room, the airconditioning was not working. They offered us a fan, which we reclined because we chose the hotel for the airconditioning. We finally got a room where everything was nice and comfortable. The bed was great!! The rooms were silent and the breakfast was wonderful!! So, if you're just traveling through, this hotel is fine. If you're staying longer, for example, to visit St. Mont Michel and area, the city center of Avranche is a wonderful place to stay and the people are so friendly!!

Beds very comfortable and large TV with good reception. But- features and décor unnecessarily gimmicky. Step up into bathroom’pod’ difficult for anyone with poor mobility. No cover or lining to bathroom rubbish bin. Good shower cubicle but no shelf to place anything on or bar to hold onto so, again, difficult for some. Arm was cut by a sharp piece of metal on the pipe under the washbasin - reported to reception who took notice. Restaurant was closed because in use by a group - no warning of this in advance and no snacks available in the bar.

Overall it’s a good place to stay. The bathroom and shower is like a ready made full set of plastic room installed in the room, kind of like the one on aeroplane which is a bit weird and it gave you the smell you smell it in the aeroplane toilet. 19 minutes drive to the Mont Saint Michel car park where you take a shuttle to the island.

The room was very small and dark. A tiny window made the room feel very dark. Only a black out blind and curtain which is great if you want complete darkness. Breakfast was fine, but an expensive stay for not much special. There are other Ibis’ in different locations for better value.

Bon séjour en Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel

Nous avons choisi cet Ibis Styles pour notre séjour en Normandie et nous avons été agréablement surpris. L'accueil et le service sont très professionnels. Les chambres sont peut-être petites, mais elles sont très propres et fonctionnelles, ce qui est parfait pour un séjour de courte durée. L'hôtel est bien entretenu dans l'ensemble. La salle de bain est un peu exiguë pour deux personnes, mais c'est un détail. La présence d'un grand parking est un vrai plus, et l'environnement est étonnamment calme malgré sa situation. Le petit déjeuner à 15€ est un peu cher pour l'offre proposée, mais cela n'entache pas le bilan globalement positif. C'est un hôtel que nous recommandons pour un séjour à un prix raisonnable.
