We loved our stay at this property! The hosts were so welcoming and helpful! The amenities were amazing and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely stay at this property again if we are in Avignon!
For a small extra charge per day we upgraded to a delicious breakfast buffet with many healthy offerings
Grounds are beautful. Attention is given to every detail. Comfortable spaces to relax & enjoy the outdoors.
Room was very clean, had spacious balcony & modern furnishings including very comfortable bed.
Lovely, family owned boutique hotel. Our room was clean, modern, and well appointed. We loved the pool and outdoor space. Convenient and walkable location as well. Overall, an excellent stay!
The hosts upgraded us from a room to an apartment—it was a complimentary upgrade which allowed us to prepare our own breakfast and dinner with food from nearby markets. They gave us wonderful advice on day trips from the property and took a genuine interest in our day trips and lives. We will stay here again if we come back to Avignon. If I knew they had a heated swimming pool and hot tub I would have brought a bathing suit.
What a fantastic find! Newly renovated room that was very clean, comfortable and functional. The staff (who are also the owners) were incredibly helpful and friendly, taking the time to show us on the map the best walks in Avignon, their restaurant recommendations and shopping areas. The complimentary continental breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again next time we're in Avignon.
The hotel will certainly surprise all who stay here. Florian and his wife Emanuelle have done a fabulous job of restoring this historic hotel. It was an oasis with their beautiful pool and they are excellent hosts. We give this great find our highest rating. Thank you Florian and Emanuelle!
From start to finish emmanuelle and Florian were perfect hosts.
The accommodation is perfect in everyway, and ideally situated for the city.
The property is immaculate and at a very high standard too. 10 out of 10
Lovely tranquil space. Lovely heated outdoor salt pool.
Our room had a private hammam and double jacuzzi bath with a great little kitchen too.
The property is room only but the hosts with prior agreement can provide breakfast.
Florian and Emmanuel make you feel welcome
A gorgeous property with a clean spacious room, friendly hosts on a quiet street. 1 minute away from pedestrian street with restaurants
Lots of gadgets in the room- massaging waterbed anyone?? I figured out the complicated in room hot tub- but there didn’t seem to be enough hot water available.
What a hidden gem behind that big door! When you see the pictures online, you would never know this property is tucked behind a large door in a small alley. It is simply gorgeous. The room was very comfortable and they thought of all of the details. The hosts could not be more charming and helpful. And I'll dream of that breakfast for years! I wish we would have planned on a longer stay. Guess we'll have to come back!
A wonderful location within the City walls and an easy stroll to all the major attractions (Palais des Papes, Pont d’Avignon etc) and less than 20 minutes walk to the station. And yet this is a haven of quiet with its lovely garden and salt water pool to relax in after a day’s sightseeing. Florian and Emmanuelle are wonderful hosts giving excellent advice on things to see and restaurants to visit. No expense has been spared in the well-appointed rooms. We stayed in Zen which overlooked the garden, was spacious and had a well-equipped kitchen.
Lovely room in a recently renovated house with a beautiful garden right in the middle of the old town of Avignon. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the comfortable, well appointed and relatively spacious new room. Fabian was an excellent communicator in English, both explaining how to get to the property, and settling us in. He gave us some good local recommendations including the fantastic restaurant Numero 75. We parked for free at D'Italiens and caught the free shuttle bus to within 50 metres of La Maison de l'Olivier place - super easy! Easy walking to all the sights of delightful Avignon. A good experience all round!
Stayed here for a special occasion and boy did it deliver. Florian and his team are incredible. La Maison d’olivier is truly stunning. Our room was unbelievable and we can’t wait to return. Incroyable et parfait pour fêter notre premier anniversaire de mariage. A haven in the centre of Avignon, you wouldn’t believe that the festival was going on outside when you’re sat in the tranquil gardens by the stunning pool. Florian can’t do enough for you. We were so sad to leave. I’ve stayed in so many places in Avignon and this one is a must stay! Also make sure you have breakfast the homemade omelettes are delicious! Thank you so much for looking after us so well
Florian was a wonderful host! He takes such pride in his bed and breakfast (that he designed himself!) and he was a joy to interact with. The location is fabulous for walking to shops and tons of restaurants. (Everything within the Avignon city wall is within a 20min walk.) The garden is meticulously well kept and the pool and Jacuzzi were lovely and available all the time, as well as a fridge to keep your own food/drinks to consume poolside or on the terrace.
Florian was available to give us dining suggestions, and even was kind enough to allow my husband to do a load of laundry site. There is a city free parking lot a 5min drive away that was super convenient for us to leave our car there during our stay, with a free city bus (or a 10min walk) to get back near the hotel.

The owner Florian was very pleasant and friendly. That won us much respect and unfortunately his co-worker Christopher was rude and mean. He claimed he was the chef. We texted him and asked to add chopped vegetables in omelette for the breakfast. He just simply ignored us. Next day at the breakfast he said he didn’t have vegetables. We couldn’t believe his unwillingness to meet our small and humble request!
There are not enough stars to give for my review of La Maison de l’Olivier. It was such paradise and I am glad it was mine for four days. I was given La Rooftop and I jumped for joy when I saw the space I could call home for my time in Avignon. Though this may not be to everyone’s liking, I personally love a balcony and the bathroom is on a balcony space overlooking the bedroom. The bedroom has access to an enormous deck, and it has the bed and two side tables, plus control of the temperature of the room. I am in my mid fifties, I had it practically snowing in my space. Upstairs there is a shower big enough for two plus maybe a few others. The water pressure and temperature are great, there is steam, lighting, and you can even hook up to Bluetooth music. The toilet is in an alcove and in between are the sink and a large side by side closet with full length mirror. The whole space is airy and bright. The bed is comfortable with great sheets. But why would you spend time in your room when you have access to a bocce court and warm pool. I made it a point to float at least an hour each day and took a few naps on the lounge chairs. There is also a stocked fridge by the pool bathhouse where you can grab a bottle of wine, champagne, beer, water. Breakfast was wonderful, and the hosts were super special - friendly and warm.
Only recommendation is to have a place to lay down on the room decks. And down pillows.
I would return in a heartbeat, and plan to as soon as possible.
