"Narrow entrance to car park with two prominent concrete boulders. Scraped front wing on arrival boulders are hidden from drivers view due to small turning angle so beware....rooms have not been updated for several years. Bathroom very small, shower in bath lacked pressure. Staff excellent, nice continental breakfast. Great location . Hotel full of character set in lovely grounds."

"A clean quiet hotel in a good location about 15 minutes walk along the promenade from the centre of Swanage. Staff are very helpful. Serves breakfast and dinner and has a spa in the basement and pleasant beer garden right above the beach. The parking is very limited and the only other downside is that the bed is one of the least comfortable (/older?) that I have slept in."

"Wanted an early breakfast and was told we could have takeout breakfast reception gave us a form to fill in and basically we all wanted 2 x bacon sausage baps we were then told we could either have 1 bacon or 1 sausage bap not 2 and we couldn’t have bacon and sausage one or the other ? "Lovely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms look refurbished and were spotless. We had the family room which was bigger than we were expecting. Two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were pleasant. Parking plentiful. Breakfast (eggs, hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon etc.) was included. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect for our stay."
