"Fantastic location - walkable from Abraão, but with a feel of really being in the middle of nature. The view from the room is wonderful and we spent a lot of time just relaxing on the balcony. The staff were kind and helpful throughout and the breakfast was just right to get us energized for the day. The trail to Lopes Mendes is close to the property too. Visit the museum next door when staying. It is beautiful and interesting. Very much recommended"

I didn’t like the small unlit sign at the road, the dirty driveway is in poor conditions, no visibility on top of the hill plus big potholes, the property sits at a steep angle to the ocean requiring big steps stairs to access the room or the pool. "A not so good experience. The property is much smaller than it seems. The air conditioning does not work well at all and the upstairs is unlivable with heat all night. The kitchen is small, there was no gas, and the pots were very dirty. The bathroom had no hot water at times but had a good current. We tried to stay out as much as possible and even left a day early because we could not anymore. Not worth the price!"

"Beautiful pousada at the top of the village. Tucked away from the busy main road, you can reach it through a very steep path, 10 minutes walk from the pier. The strenuous walk is worth your sweat. A beautiful tropical garden welcomes you to the restaurant and reception area. Very nice breakfast prepared every morning by the amazing staff. The view from the rooms at the top floor is nice, and each balcony has its own hammock where we spent our evening relaxing. Three beautiful cats live at the pousada and we made sure to pet them every day. The staff at the reception has been also very attentive and nice to chat with. We would definitely come back."
