An absolute gem of a hotel. The hotel itself was stunning and the design was thoughtful and curated. The fisherman's village was picturesque and felt so serene. Dinner at DeMark was more than we could have expected. Top tier restaurant with remarkable staff. We received welcome treats and every night at turndown they left a relaxing tea to wind down. We didn't want to leave!

We had such a wonderful stay that we even decided to extend it. The hotel is peaceful, very comfortable, and the atmosphere is so friendly it felt like home. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Everything was delicious, especially the tomato tartare. Breakfast was also over the top, absolutely yummy! When we were looking to book, we noticed the hotel was a bit outside the city, but once we got there we realized it was an easy 10-15 min uber ride into the busy city center. Honestly, that was a big part of the charm. The peace and quiet, plus the amazing water view, made it totally worth it. It’s the kind of place where you just slow down, relax, and really enjoy. We’ll definitely be back!

This is my second time at De Durgerdam and we will come back again... The way the team makes us feel at home, we truly wind down. Everything is thought off without excess, the food is amazing, the night rest is deep and peaceful, the team is truly connecting and the views are breathtaking.. all 10min away from the busy center of Amsterdam! Staying at this little hotel just outside Amsterdam was such a unique and wonderful experience. It’s only 15 minutes from the city center, but it feels like a world away, surrounded by nature, with birds everywhere and stunning views of water and greenery. The restaurant was a real highlight for me. I tried the vegetarian steak, and honestly, I couldn’t believe how close it was to the real thing. Everything was so flavorful, and the wine list was incredible—real quality wines that perfectly complemented the food. The employees were so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The open fire in the kitchen and the wood stoves throughout the hotel gave it such a snug and romantic vibe, especially with this cold winter weather. The room was perfect—super comfortable bed, warm lighting, and beautiful art everywhere, from local and international artists. Every detail in the hotel felt so thoughtfully put together, including the gorgeous Christmas decorations. This place is a real gem, and I can’t wait to come back! It felt like the perfect mix of city convenience and peaceful escape.
