"I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent hotel booking made through Expedia. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly below acceptable standards. Upon arrival, we encountered several serious issues with the hotel room, including the presence of cockroaches, non-functioning air conditioning, stained bedding, and a bathroom that was both unclean and emitted an unpleasant odour. These conditions are wholly unacceptable and raise concerns about hygiene and basic maintenance. In addition, the check-in process was problematic. The hotel initially did not recognise our Expedia booking, and we were required to contact a third-party agency to confirm the reservation. This caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Furthermore, the hotel was clearly misrepresented on Expedia’s platform. The images and description provided create a misleading impression that does not reflect the actual condition or standard of the property. I believe this warrants investigation, particularly given that the hotel appears not to properly acknowledge Expedia bookings. As a long-standing and loyal Expedia customer, I am extremely disappointed by this experience. I had expected a reputable company such as Expedia to maintain higher standards and ensure the accuracy of its listings. The lack of accountability, particularly the refusal to offer any refund or compensation, is also deeply concerning and unacceptable. Unless this matter is addressed appropriately, I will be re "

"Hotel staff were great but the room needed TLC . We booked a room with Haram view but we got a corner room with a crane obstructing. Saying that we arrived at 8am and they accommodated us sttaight away with our room. So all good. Breakfast was very nice spacious and a good variety with staff teady to help. "

"In my personal view the only good thing about this hotel is the location, this hotel is clearly dated and has not been fully upgraded over time. check-in could have been better, as I have now found out the hotel has charged me twice and currently having to dispute to get a refund. the hotel washrooms are not well maintained and during my stay the main ones in the lobby were out of action. it is a challenge to get in and out the hotel to Al Haram due to the numbers of people in the shopping centre also using the hotel. in my view the quality of the hotel, the service and stay was a 3 star experience to me, I did not feel anything special or staff going above and beyond to provided satisfaction to its guests."
