JR WEST GROUP VIA INN PRIME HIROSHIMA SHINKANSENGUCHI
8/10 Good
"This is a modern property in a very convenient location, just a short walk from Hiroshima Station, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay.
Check-in was largely automated, with staff available to assist when needed. While the process was efficient, it felt somewhat impersonal and lacked the welcoming touch that can make a guest feel truly appreciated. That said, the staff members we interacted with were courteous and helpful.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. We paid extra for it but found the options quite limited, with several set meals that were very similar to one another. Small details, such as being asked to pay extra for ketchup with a hot dog, gave the impression that cost control was prioritized over the guest experience.
Overall, I appreciated the location, cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff. However, the overall value and guest experience did not meet my expectations, and I would likely choose a different hotel on my next visit to Hiroshima."
"There are so many good things to say about the Grandvia. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The amenities with the breakfast, tea, and cocktails were great. Everyday, our room was cleaned and spotless. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!"
"Location is great for the station- 10 min walk and 30 min from The Peace Park Area.
Located in a quiet neighbourhood on the riverside.
Breakfast offered a vast choice including local dishes. Really tasty.
Room was cleaned every day.
A great hotel ideal for a couple staying 3 nights. Like all Japanese rooms, storage for clothes is limited."
"Feels like a brand new luxury loft! Perfect layout, lighting and furniture. Total comfort staying here. Excellent staff becomes an expectation in Japan and this hotel is no exception."
"The location was great but the parking was full. We got directed to the D parking lot just across the road. It turned out to be cheaper and really close. The rooms were clean but smaller beds than usual. We would still recommend this accommodation. Value for money."
"Check in was easy. The amenity bar was convenient for getting the items needed for the room (coffee and tea). The room was clean and quiet. Staff were kind and helpful."
"Good location and convenient with breakfast, snacks, and a washing machine. Staff are nice but would be a better experience if more of them were multilingual. Some only spoke Japanese and it was difficult to communicate simple things such as whether the tap water was drinkable or whether check out was completed."
