Graham’s attention to detail is spot on and we would love to stay here again if the opportunity ever arose. "

Lots of little touches - gorgeous sandalwood soap, Tunnoch's milk chocolate caramel wafers, lovely solid waterglasses, comfy sofa, thick pile carpet - and it's all unbelievably clean. "What a pleasure! Love coming across a diamond in the rough! Friendly and helpful staff, warm and cosy bar/restaurant area, room was amazing, plenty of beverages to keep you busy and a menu that leaves most other hotels for dust (steak and Stilton oggy I believe it was called is really good). And then when you think it can’t get better you wake up and have the best breakfast I’ve had in a hotel in years!"

"Stayed for one night in the most beautiful of rooms. The mattress and pillows were perfect. Food was excellent and the staff were exceptional. I only have one bugbear, I couldn’t sleep because of the vibrating, droning sound which I think was coming from below my room, that stopped finally around 2am. But that being said I still can’t wait to return. "

"We had such a wonderful stay at the castle hotel. The only feedback was the receptionist on check out wasn’t as friendly as the lady that had checked us in. She appeared to be confused with the communication around breakfast timings. Over all it was a wonderful stay, in the perfect location and it’s such a beautiful hotel"

"Great location and accommodation was lovely. Not a cheap stay but if you have kids there is lots to keep them amused. Some of the kids zones are a bit tired and need a refresh. We were there at Easter and they were short staffed in the restaurant. Food was good but needed more options given the prices being charged. Breakfast was great. Staff were excellent but stressed due to shortages."

"Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. It was very quiet at night too, no banging doors, although not sure if it was because the hotel itself was quiet. The only negative was that the room was incredibly hot at night. We had to have the windows open quite wide overnight. "
