"### Excellent Stay at Barcelo Guatemala City – My Third Barcelo Experience! **5/5 Stars** I've now stayed at three Barcelo properties – first in Aruba, then Istanbul, and most recently here in Guatemala City – and this one absolutely lived up to the brand's reputation. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless and enjoyable, making it a standout choice for anyone looking for a safe, comfortable base in the city. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, from the front desk to security – everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The hotel feels very secure, which is a big plus in an urban setting. Getting around was a breeze; cabs were easy to hail right outside, and the location is convenient, right across the street from a McDonald's if you need a quick bite. The facilities are top-notch. The pool and hot tub were lovely spots to unwind, and the breakfast buffet was generous and delicious with plenty of options. For evenings, the lobby bar area comes alive with live music – a talented trumpet player and piano player added such a nice ambiance. Dinner choices were solid too, including a great sports pub and a Japanese restaurant that hit the spot. My room was spotless and well-equipped. The elevators worked smoothly without any waits, and while the pillows were a tad soft for my preference, everything else was perfect: strong shower pressure, reliable hot and cold water, and excellent air conditioning that kept things cool and comfortab"

"Good staff but the room needs a proper renovation not only patching: a hole on the bathtub wall was filled with caulking! Patio door frame was not screw properly to the wall, hence the patio door didn’t close. A relatively low issue since we were at a gated hotel. Couple of unwritten ruled unmentioned when booked: fitness center closed every 3rd of the month for maintenance, not allowed to bring exterior food, Easy parking and close to tourism sites"
