"Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. No USB ports, no kettle, warm fridge, safe that didn't open, bedside wall light front plate fell off, no instructions on how to operate anything, no information about breakfast/dinner menus, bed sheets do not fit the bed. Room was clean, bathroom was very nice, hairdryer included. Staff pleasant and mostly helpful. Restaurant did not make a good impression at dinner. "Our stay was perfect for our purposes. We had a one night reservation here followed by a one night reservation at Pairi Daiza. We wanted to be close to Pairi Daiza so that we could go to the zoo early on the day of our planned arrival. Rather than being just a useful location, Hotel du Parc turned out to be very charming. The room was spacious, the staff helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. The town of Ath is lovely with a lot of restaurants, bars, and little shops to stroll in and out...
