"The hotel was very nice, staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and had a lot of amenities but the only thing was extracted fan wasn't working right and was very noicey. Breakfast was lovely. Right across from the Minster and few minutes walk from Shambles."

Breakfast was well laid out with a good range; my only criticism was it wasn't easy to find the decaffeinated coffee (sachets a struggle to open!) and the milk. Some signage would be very helpful. The hotel is extremely central and within very easy walking distance of the city centre."

"Room was clean and tidy, we were upgraded which was lovely. We had a river view but because of the trees, the view wasn’t as good as we hoped. However, we weren’t there to look at the view for long! Kitchen area had everything if needed, aircon was great for the heat and bathroom was good. Only downside, wardrobe was tiny and no drawers to unpack much! Hotel is ideally situated for walking into York. Just a short walk and you are in the main area. Coffee/tea in the reception all day long...

"My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon and it was fantastic. The staff were all lovely people and great to chat with. There is a head of security cat named teddy and he was the sweetest soul. He snuggled up with us when we sat in the lounge area, having a drink at the end of the night. Every space here is decorated so nicely and makes it so warm and welcoming. Our room was also beautifully decorated with a cutest guest book that was very entertaining to read and put our own note...
