"Hotel was comfortable and clean, nice and close to the lake. Go to have a shuttle bus to the train station. Breakfast was not that good, would be nice to have some healthier options. Was convenient to use the washing machine while we were there. There is a good onsen at the Royal Hotel just down the road where you can go if you have tattoos. "

"I am grateful to the service rendered by Nitta Teruo san and his team at the hotel. I had lost a hairline at the onsen area and thought I would never get it back. The hair clip, though small, was used by me since my pregnancy and had sentimental value. Teruo san went above and beyond to send the hair clip back to my next hotel in Tokyo. I really appreciate the team for going the extra mile to make our stay at the hotel a pleasant one. The hotel was huge and and the onsen was simply lovely. We will be back for sure!"

"Wonderful experience "

"The property was beautiful with historical Japanese architecture and amenities. We stayed in one of the villas, which was the quintessential Japanese ryokan experience. The room was very spacious. The outdoor onsen was perfect, but the indoor onsen could have been cleaner. The moisture from the hot spring steam seems to be taking a toll. Unfortunately, we had an awkward check-in experience being asked by one of the employees to wait outside because it wasn’t check-in time (it was 2:30pm, half an hour prior to check-in) even though other guests we had taken the shuttle from the train station with had been invited in. The rest of the check-in experience was not very warm or friendly, which tainted the rest of the stay for me. That said, the staff that served breakfast and helped us with check-out were wonderful and extremely friendly. "

"We booked this hotel very close to our travel and were skeptical due to it’s isolated location. Our stay was wonderful, staff is very kind and helpful. Shuttle service makes it breeze to go back and forth to town. Location is very scenic and has good trails. We were lucky to get sunny morning and were able to clearly see majestic Mt. Fuji from the hotel. We will definitely recommend and use this place when return to the area. "
