"Always had good stay with village before but this time there was problem at check in as I booked through Expedia. Paid through Expedia, and only had to pay for late check out at hotel but they tried to take full stay and the extra payment. They kept saying there was issue as there was insufficient fund in my card but I had already paid for stay. They blamed Expedia for this. Already a bad start to the stay. The rooms itself are good then when it came to the next day, even though we paid for late...

"We stayed at Thatcher’s Hotel (part of Surya Hotels) for three nights during half term. Overall, it’s an average hotel but offers good value for money. The rooms have been renovated and are modern and comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable which we appreciated. However, there were a few downsides. "Let's start with the good stuff. Bathroom spotless, lovely fluffy towels and a great size too, not the usual handkerchief you often get! Massive bed, crisp clean bedding, great pillows. OK, so let's ignore the fact that the decor is in need of an update - it might be shabby, but the room was really clean throughout. Negatives? Central heating SO noisy, I had to wear earplugs to block out the background noise. And the shower, although really good and hot, is like being spiked by needles! Easily...

"Stunning hotel in fabulous location. Hotwl staff were lovely snd nothing was too much trouble. The grounds were kept beautifully and are a real asset to the hotel. Close to Weybridge and Cobham, both areas offer a variety of places to eat out and other shops with a nice mix of usual High Street staples and independent shops and eateries.
