"No acepten upgrades ni elijan la habitación 4 del interior del castillo,tampoco les recomendaría que se alojarán ,ya que mi experiencia en el no resultó positiva,luego me contestarán con algúna respuesta tipo,pero les aseguro que hay muchos castillos en Inglaterra mejores que este."

"Pub was dated, and our room had a shower/toilet in a pod, so read the small print when booking. The pod was extremely small with little room to manoeuvre and the extractor fan did not work. Also music could be heard in our room from downstairs. The positive is the shower was warm, the staff extremely friendly and the breakfast good. Also the local clientele were warm, friendly and welcoming"

"Excellent staff very kind and hospitable and very nice pub food and breakfast.
LargeTV screen to watch the World Cup and BBC I player to catch up on the highlights, all good."

"We booked this at the last minute as we were travelling up to the Scottish borders and wanted to break the journey due to the extreme heat.
We arrived very late (about 11pm) but we had called the hotel in advance and one of the staff agreed to wait for us. When we did arrive we were greeted with a very warm welcome.
Our one regret is that we didn't have time to make use of the observatory (yes you read that right!)
All staff very friendly and helpful and loved the breakfast"

"Booked last minute during cycling trip. Staff wentvout of their way to help with luggage and security of my bike. Room had everything and more including stocked fridge and microwave. "

"The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds"

"Lovely pub and rooms in the centre of Hexham. Host / landlord was super helpful. Rooms were very clean & well appointed- eg lots of power sockets etc. Would highly recommend and would stay again."
