"We did not realise this hotel is a self check-in upon booking. This was not a problem though, and we were assisted by another guest who was familiar with the process. However, when we opted to pay for breakfast during the check-in process we were also charged for the accommodation again! This was confirmed when I enquired about it to a staff member who was on reception in the evening. This has reduced our travelling funds and is now a hassle to get refunded. "Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, ein bisschen kahl und unpersönlich aber vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Dame am Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist für französische Verhältnisse spitze. Parken kann man vor der Tür oder auf einem abgeschlossenen Parkplatz hinter dem Hotel."

"If you like old, quaint and quirky then this is the place for you. The proximity to the Loire is unbeatable with beautiful views and walks along the riverside. The room we had (402) was huge but accessed by a very tight and steep staircase. An interesting style of furnishings but the bed was comfy with good linen. The bathroom was also spacious but some DIY to the fixings would help. The evening meal is served by restauranteurs who are not involved with the accommodation. The food was tasty...

"We were upgraded to a beautiful room with a dressing area and large bathroom. The beds was comfortable and the location peaceful. The grounds are well maintained and there was quite a large swimming pool with sunbeds. We didn't have any meals at the chateau but the dining room looked cosy and inviting. The staff are pleasant and helpful. If we travel down this way again, we will definitely stay at Les Muids. It's a stunning place."
