"This is a classic Italian countryside villa located in a wooded area by a lake. It is just 40 minutes from the Milan Airport on the way to Lake Lugano and Switzerland. Tall ceilings, clean room with a view of the forest. There is a road in front of the property, but we could hardly hear it even during the day. They accommodated a late check in (9:30PM)."

The whole atmosphere of the house and the surrounding area but also the rooms, breakfast, music during breakfast and the discreet but perfect service (not to intrusive) makes you feel like being in a grand hotel of the last century. "Easily one of the best properties we have ever stayed at! A gorgeous example of adaptive reuse, with original 16th century convent ceilings and floors and beautiful award-winning decor throughout. The hotel is in a quaint hilltop village with private access to a castle and a winery a short hike away. The onsite restaurant is superb, with excellent food and staff. The front desk staff are also very kind and welcoming. Very comfortable bed and room with a very effective AC. You cannot go wrong...
