"The staff was so friendly, and it was an exquisitely beautiful setting. If you have mobility issues, this is not your place - the stairs are steep, and getting to the loft is with a straight up ladder - but if you can deal with the stairs you'll be fine, and it would be an amazing place for a family with kids. The road down to the river is well-maintained, and I enjoyed the relaxed hooting of the howler monkeys on my walk."

"The Arenal Country Inn was a wonderful place to stay! It is conveniently located to the town and the room was very comfortable! It could use a few more hooks to hang clothes and someplace to put suitcases instead of the floor. But overall the room did meet our needs and held our family of four nicely. I would request to have the bottles for body wash and hand wash filled up since we ran out of body wash and it was never filled. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed it daily...

"We had the room with the private pool this time, and let me tell you it was gorgeous!! The pool could use a little updating, but the property is under new ownership and they are renovating everything. When we got there we were told they were giving us a free tour at the hanging bridges… we’ve been to La Fortuna many times, but had never done this activity. This is a DO NOT MISS location! We saw so many birds, a coati, 5 different eyelash vipers, blue jean frogs, etc. I highly recommend...

Der Pool ist auch sehr sauber und schön. Wenn man Glück hat sieht man den El Arenal. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, man kann aus 4 Optionen auswählen und auch das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit, nett und engagiert. "
