"My stay at Villa Maya was wonderful. It was very easy to find the location. The check in and communication were very pleasant and easy. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were gorgeous. The breakfast was fantastic and included a wide range of options. I would absolutely recommend Villa Maya."

"The experience here was 12/10! We stayed here over the course of a couple of days for a wedding we were attending and this place is a must stay if you're in the area. The staff were wonderful across the board and the hotel itself is situated in a very scenic, peaceful area. Rooms were very clean, the property was well maintained, and the daily breakfast was hands down one of the best I've had. Will definitely stay here again!"

"This is a charming old palace with lots of personality and the staff all were excellent. It was a welcome overnight refuge from Pisa after our plane was cancelled. Keep in mind it’s primarily a spa hotel with its own rhythms. And the food was delicious if a bit pricey. Also try the gelato shop across the street for the best gelato."

"The villa it’s a beautiful place in Toscana to stay and relax , the pool is the best feature of the hotel. In the lobby the is a bar where you can order apperitivo, and the restaurant face a the beautiful garden. Food was excellent but pricey."

"The room was nothing short of fabulous. It was enormous, with high ceilings and windows that opened onto views of the countryside. The bathroom was fit for a king. Water pressure was good, and the shower temperature was constant. The bed was firm. Plenty of storage space. The pool was lovely. There are not too many guests, so there was more than enough room to sit and lounge in relative privacy. The staff were attentive and made excellent drinks. "This hotel looked to be recently renovated. The place was immaculate and well appointed. The coffee and beverages, all complimentary, were well stocked. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The location was spectacular, right near the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We were very surprised how quiet the room was with all of the noise outside. This place is a real gem!"

"Excellent location in Pontedera. Only a five minutes walk to the city centre, the railway station, and the autobus terminal. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom facilities. There was a wide range of food choices for breakfast with hot and cold drinks readily available. The front desk was not manned at all times; but guests are provided with a key to open the entrance doors if they are locked at night."

They don't do evening meals but there are plenty of options within a 10 mins drive. It is very rural area. Seems popular with Italian film stars for some reason given the photos in the reception office."
