"We were visiting a family member at GW and the location was perfect. Parking is pricey but we were so happy to get a spot in the garage. The one problem is there is construction behind the hotel so there was early morning drilling taking place behind our room."

"Very convenient location. It was easy to walk from/ to centrally and also right next to DuPont Circle metro station for those days when we didn’t feel like walking. The lifts were a bit slow (with one out of three not working). The rooms were serviced twice a day (including an evening turn down service). Would recommend the hotel"

"The garden in the backyard is amazing, the cafes and lounge are wonderful. The rooms themselves are fabulous. A main issue we had was that the hotel is under some fairly major construction. At first we were put into a very loud room right in the middle of it with stone saws going off all around the room, but after getting to the room I called down and a lovely woman came and escorted me to another quiet room in a totally different part of the hotel. From there, the stay was quite nice, except that the gorgeous park in the backyard is rendered non-relaxing all day due to the construction above, only nice at night. Would for sure stay here again when the hotel is not under construction."

"The room (114) was clean. The light fixtures are below average including light switches & receptacles, refrigerator display was broken, so my meal was not kept cold, my last day I figured (guessed) the correct temperature setting. There is a dip in the floor in front of refrigerator that can twist an ankle. My number one complaint (which I did not make any of the staff aware of, until check out) is, the controls to the AC are stuck on high fan and coldest setting. I enjoy a cold room, so for me it was tolerable, but for some it may be uncomfortable. Breakfast was a nice experience, as was the open wine bar in the evening. The Normandy staff I cannot give enough applause to, they were very profesional and polite."
