The hotel is in a great location, very quiet, great shower. It's easy walking distance to many good restaurants. The red line Metro is about 10 minutes away at DuPont Circle and there's a bus 4 minutes away to the Zoo.
The Kalorama Market on California is a short walk and known for its cappuccino, daily sandwiches, and weekend pizzas.
The afternoon wine and cheese reception is a nice touch, but paying $8 for a reusable water bottle was a bit much.
The hotel difffuses some kind of spicy scent into the air system. In some common areas I found it overpowering and it made me cough. Shut off my AC, which helped.
My room had a Juliet balcony but couldn't easily open the patio swing doors because the cornice was too low.
Staff was always welcoming and helpful.
