"We truly enjoyed our stay at The Storm. The location was excellent, it was very clean. It had everything that we needed even though it was minimalist design. We loved the non American breakfast and the dining staff was wonderful.The desk staff went above and beyond. They gave us a map, explained directions, made great dining recommendations. "The room was acceptable but no ventilation, little air from the window, no air conditioning. Bed was comfortable. Asked for fan and staff was helpful in getting one the second night- this at least moved the air some- still too hot. Air conditioning in hallway second day but no help for room. Did not use the spa or workout area. Restaurant closed earlier than Google or listed in hotel. Staff was helpful."

"The hotel location was excellent, with easy access to bus routes and hop on hop off busses. There is a restaurant in the building if you wish to use it. There is a grocery store next door which was very useful. great street to be on with nice stores. We booked a glass house view room which is in the rear of the hotel and they put us in a patio room which is on the basement level rear. I believe this was an error which I was not able to correct."

"I hardly ever write reviews but we were very frustrated by our experience with Hotel Orkin. While the staff is generally professional and considerate, we found several issues very frustrating. First, the hotel shower had a strong sulphur smell making it almost unusable in our opinion--I think this is a common issue in this hotel (check other reviews). This is not disclosed on their website. Second, there are no blackout curtains, and the curtains there do not sufficiently block out the light...

"Clean rooms. Location was not as central as desired"

"We found the apartment’s lighting was too dark because of dark color of walls and not enough of lighting fixtures. Besides the fixtures are spot lights type so that certain areas were not covered. No headboard lights. The room is quite decent and very clean. Ample space for two people. Location is quite good, closes to the freeway leading to downtown Reykjavik."

I paid extra to check in early and tried to access the room at 2 (regular check in at 3). I called when the code didnt work and they told me they couldn't verify that I paid for early access but the money had already come out of my account. They wanted me to get all the documents and send it to them so they could review it...
