"My single bed room was small but everything worked okay. TV, Hot water kettle, AC, mini fridge. My room was on the back side of the hotel so it was quiet. No street noise or train noise. Very quiet. Coffee, sugar cream and towels were restocked daily. Check in and out was easy. Nice large lobby with plenty of chairs and couches. Hotel is next to the Leeds Train Station. Very convenient."

"Handy location and the rooms are off a good Standard. The reception layout is really odd didn’t make sense. on arrival the staff member who was covering reception was also taking pictures for a party of other guests, chatting etc. this went on for 15 mins while the queue for check in got longer and longer I had also emailed the hotel twice before arrival with a request which was not acknowledged. When I checked in and made the request in person he said I should have sent an email a day or two before check in! Check out the person on the reception was lovely. Thank you. While I was there I also use the pool, both the pool and the changing rooms were not clean."

"Another superb stay at The Clayton, we won't stay anywhere else when in Leeds. I rang ahead and spoke to Emma on Reception to let her know we were coming to celebrate a belated Birthday and when we got to the room there were balloons, a banner and a card which was such a lovely touch. We always upgrade to a Deluxe room (about an extra £20-£30) and they are on higher floors so seem a lot quieter than lower floors. Parking is right underneath the hotel with a lift taking you straight up to reception - £14 for 24 hours which you cant grumble with at all for city centre parking. You could tell there had been some reinvestment as the lifts had been renovated, the bathroom was great with a lovely double length walk in rainfall shower. Extremely comfy beds, had a great night sleep and really appreciated an optional fan provided in the room as it was hot weather when we stayed. Breakfast was hot and plentiful as always, love that you can make a coffee to takeaway too - bit disappointed that there were no fried eggs or fried bread readily available this time but I'm sure if I'd asked, they would have cooked some. Ventured out to the city centre shops and a restaurant in the evening, no problem for reception to book us a taxi and it was only £5 on way, bargain for a Saturday night! Immediately looking at diaries to see when we can come again - best hotel in the UK nevermind Leeds!"

"The room was immaculate. Hotel is in an ideal location within 10min walking distance of picadilly station and a quick taxi ride to AO Arena. Convenience store across the road and bar on site. Breakfast is available at the property too. The only thing is if on 6th floor, lift only goes to 5 then there's a staircase which can become tiresome."

"We arrived before check in but they had our rooms ready for us which was great to leave our things in the room as we were going straight out for a music festival. The only negative was that we had to pay for an extra breakfast and I thought it was included for all three of us staying. But that could have been my error not noticing it properly on the third party booking site. Breakfast had a good selection, some items were running low but we didn’t have to wait long until it was replenished. Parking was right opposite the hotel and you get a discount when you put your reg in at the reception desk. We had a very pleasant short stay and would highly recommend it."
