"This property has old charm appeal to real island life! When reading the reviews some of which were not great, I came to realize that it must’ve been those who didn’t appreciate that beauty! "The hotel is modern, spacious and very elegant. The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed, new furnishings, a fully stocked kitchenette and a lovely balcony with seating. The service team was extremely friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning."

"The manager Ashur was most helpful and responsive. They responded to minor issues promptly. We loved the large space and stunning view. The bed was super comfy. The kitchen had plenty of equipment. Would highly recommend. One suggestion - add a sofa bed for additional guests. Note: there is a single hideaway bed. "

"Sugar Mill was beyond my expectations. They have the friendliest staff and fantastic food. We were two couples who rented two King size bedrooms with ocean views. Some notable staff were Jean our dinner waitress. She was so lovely and helpful with her suggestions, Destiny, and Estephany were pleasant as well. At the beach bar Carlos our bartender was the man!! "Great ocean view rooms with incredible decks on the water. Food was top notch for all meals and the beach is gorgeous with first class cabanas. Some negatives: the pool, gym and pickleball / tennis courts are across a small road. Not a huge deal but not ideal. Lots of mosquitos poolside so be careful. But the biggest negative is that the ocean is not swim-able due to huge rocks in the water. I saw zero people in the ocean over my 3 day stay. Zero! Maybe with some water shoes it could be done...

"Truly a 5 star resort! Having a butler was a unique experience as was the having no room keys (that’s another first for me). We had some rain on our trip so a few more rainy day options would be a good addition. Loved that all water toys were included, find a kayak, pool noodle, stand up paddle board, you could use it.
