"We had a really lovely stay here. We felt totally immersed in the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The food was both delicious and always beautifully presented. We are really glad that we made this stop as part of our travels around Japan. Mount Fuji was mostly covered in isolated low level cloud, but we did get a gorgeous view once or twice.
Points to note are that there are no other facilities other than your room and dining room which is accessed at set, pre agreed times. Early...
"We got a suite with a private jacuzzi on the balcony - the view was great, but the place is falling apart a bit. The tub was leaking in places and had a slime-y residue inside, and multiple floorboard soft the balcony were rotted through and gave way underfoot. The photos here aren't quite reflective of the property's current state. Even in the public onsen, the windows are covered with salt on the outside, obscuring the view. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu
10/10 Excellent
"Right next to Numazu Station, so great location for getting to/from. Huge room by Japanese business hotel standards. V friendly staff and I was allowed to check-in slightly earlier upon arrival. Hotel rules mean that room is fully serviced after night three even if it does not require servicing. I was lucky to have a room which had a great view of Mt Fuji in the morning before the clouds appeared. Buffet breakfast catered for all tastes and is served between 6am-10am Mon-Fri, 7-10 Sat/Sun. "
"The hotel was amazing! Just driving to the guest house to check in, we saw Mt. Fuji. The staff during check in were so friendly and kind. Our room was magnificent! It was huge! The in room open air onsen was so wonderful. We could see Mt. Fuji as we relaxed in the onsen. The hotel was really clean and well maintained. We loved our stay, and wish we would have booked more nights at this awesome resort. "
"Purchase the dinner and breakfast—excellent buffets and beautiful dining room. Hotel has extraordinary ocean view. No need to leave the property as it has 3 onsens, restaurants, and activities."
