"This is a beautiful old hotel with much history. Our well appointed room was large with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom. The nearby parking was a bonus too. It was surprisingly quiet at night considering it's excellent, central location. Highly recommend staying here to see beautiful Lincoln."

"Due to excessive external temperatures during my stay staff had left the windows open which was understandable in the circumstances. Unfortunately my room (215) overlooked the High Street below. From 0400 hrs the noise from heavy agricultural traffic was constant. I accept it was my choice to continue to get a circulation of air into the room however it was at the cost of being awake very early in the day. Next time would book a room facing the rear of the property. Impressive hotel 8/10"

"A lovely hotel, competitively priced with very clean, very spacious and well maintained rooms judging by my own. The hotel is located next to a very clean and pretty marina, and is just a short walk from restaurants, the main shopping area and the (very steep!) hill up to the cathedral and castle. Breakfast is a very well stocked buffet, offering cereals, fruit and pastries as well as the traditional fayre. All staff I came across were pleasant and very polite. The on site car park is fairly large, although I stayed in May and did get the impression that in the summer peak months you would need to arrive early to have a good chance of getting a space. I doubt there would be enough spaces for all guests arriving by car. You register your car at Reception on arrival and so I would think that if you left it during your stay you should get a space on return because the hotel would know how many cars are registered at any given time."

"Mostly enjoyed our stay. Room clean and suitable for short stay. No toiletries on first night just soap. Only 2 cups for 3 adults had to go to bar for an extra cup. No extension lead available so glad we took our own although not really long enough. Disappointed to find door not secured properly after cleaners had been in."
