"Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! ...

"This recently renovated hotel is a gem, perfectly located near both Lake Placid (12 minutes) and Whiteface (5 minutes). The modern upgrades provide a comfortable and cozy stay, while the kind, attentive, and accessible manager (Keith) who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome (including upgrading our room, helping us make reservations for dinner and offering rides). "This is a wonderful hotel. As a boutique hotel the number of rooms are limited, but that just makes for more personalized and better service. "My family of 5 stayed for a long weekend for baskeball. The rooms were clean, well maintained and comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor area and loved seeing all the animals around the water, we saw goose and deer. We enjoyed the privacy of the space and the closeness to main street. "
