"Not every modern convenience, and limited in some ways (no countertop around the sink, oddly shaped rooms, a huge wardrobe rather than a closet), but if you like history and appreciate the preservation of unique architectural details, this is an excellent find. Lovely outdoor dining, parking was near enough, very walkable area. Expensive, but we’d go back. Really enjoyed this slice of film history that has been left intact and offers a window into a bygone era. "

"Older hotel and rooms smell like it. I was placed next to the garbage cans on the first floor, so had both late night noise and early morning noise. Curtains don’t block out light. $13 for a bottle of water in the room. "

"Parking fee of 38.50 is ridiculous! I made sure I checked the parking rate here before i booked. When I called, I was told it was $20 to park here so I went ahead and booked as I thought that amount was reasonable for Los Angeles rates for parking. The whole reason I’m staying here is my son is inpatient at Ucla Ronald Reagan Medical Center for some heart procedures. "This hotel had nice efficient almost European style rooms, clean, great staff, robes, great coffee and amenities. Very safe and convenient Only issue was traffic noise from Santa Monica blvd - bring your ear plugs and white noise Overall, great place"
