"We truly felt like we were in the heart of the jungle, with all the positives you would expect that to bring, and a few negatives too. The sights and sounds of the wildlife are inescapable and breathtaking, with memorable views particularly at sun up or sun down. Some of the facilities are at the mercy of the elements, with ‘outdoor feeling’ shower and bathroom. There were very minor communication difficulties around the breakfast ordering. The menu seems to be updated every day, and is a series of dishes from hot ‘Americano style’ eggs and bacon, to a granola and yogurt course and a fruit platter. The food was excellent, but didn’t offer choice so fussy eaters may struggle at breakfast. Navigating the property with its slightly precarious walkways and steps would be next to impossible for those with physical disabilities, but disorder a Robinson Crusoe type feel. "

"Me and my friend had an incredible stay at Mhontong. We were welcomed in and felt like part of the family. The location is in a quiet rural fishing town, the locals are all very kind and gave us lots of smiles as we explored the area. Our host went above and beyond to make our stay there the best it could be. We were given lots of reccomendations of what to do in the area and had a private boat tour arranged, taking us to all the less touristy places ! We were accompanied by one of the hosts who helped translate with the boat driver and looked after us on the trip. The view from the property itself is beautiful and right in the national park. "Truly a fantastic accommodation - the rooms are charming, the beach clean, the view is breathtaking and they have not crammed the property full of rooms which means the gardens are really fantastic. I was very happy with the quality of the massage and restaurant too. I really recommend this place to unwind and relax."

"This was as close to paradise as I think is possible. From the moment you arrive everything is thought of, from the welcome to the complimentary activities to the layout of the hotel. My room was a sea view which I highly recommend and the view of the sunrise is incredible. The breakfast here was one of the best I’ve had during my month long tour around Thailand. I was a solo traveller and most others were couples or friends but they still made me feel really welcome. I would recommend for anyone from solo travellers to honeymooners."

"The room was big but the air conditioning did not work properly I had no hot water and they started drilling in the room next door at 7.30 am also the room upstairs had a part till the early hours . So not the best stay"
