"The room we stayed in had clearly just been renovated, and that was appreciated. Our beds were comfortable and we were allowed to check in a few hours early for a small fee. Our room was small but about average for that area (and price point) in London. Only complaint--I'm not sure if the walls in the hotel are paper thin, or many other guests were inconsiderate, or the hotel needs to update the hinges on all doors but we constantly heard doors slamming at all hours. It was a little hard to fall asleep because of that. Aside from that minor complaint, our one night stay here was fine. Would recommend to fellow travelers."

"Shocked by the positive reviews!! This place is all looks and no substance. The entrance smells nice, but that’s where it ends. Corridors stink, carpets are filthy, and the room was disgustingly dirty. Socks turned black from the floor, carpets stained, and the toilet seat was dirty with hairs on it! genuinely made me feel sick even writing this. We asked to move rooms and got zero apology, just told there were no housekeepers. The second room was barely any better. Staff showed no sympathy at all. It felt like this level of dirt and service is completely normal to them. This was just a one-night stay and I would never step foot here again. If this is the standard of the rooms, I wouldn’t even trust the restaurant downstairs. Don’t be fooled by the photos. Avoid. "

"Truly average hotel. Rooms small and a little worn . Bathrooms have been refurbished. Breakfast okay and of reasonable value if you book ahead. Cleaning average and somewhat enthusiastic with occasional bangs on the door at 8 am in the morning which are a little overzealous My biggest complaint relates to the gym - this is not located in the hotel but in a separate structure about 50m away and is subcontracted to a separate entity They do not allow access to anyone under the age of 16 and their regulations compel one to fill out registration forms on a daily basis including health and safety documentation - this takes about five minutes to do. The gym is equipped with old life fitness equipment about 15 to 20 years old and some technogym treadmills and cross trainers It will be well below the standard that you would see in the average Hilton or similar level brand hotel anywhere in the English speaking world / in my opinion it would not be a suitable hotel for someone who is travelling with a teenager who wanted to go to the gym or indeed who had a desire to visit the gym in the evenings as the gym is closed from 4 o’clock on Saturdays and Sundays Overall this hotel is adequate but the gym arrangement is subpar and you could well do better elsewhere."
