"Lovely clean room, excellent staff, great kitchen. BUT… green light in room not conducive to good sleep, and the fire alarm went off at midnight, after which the excitement seemed to evoke some guests to chat and laugh through the night until 3am, then the same group of four men woke up and continued their frivolities from 5:30am until they left just after 7am. Not the staff’s fault. But the sound proofing is poor."

"Lovely place However, AC was not working and needed to be on when we arrived. Far to hot. When we tiried to turn on, it was broken. A fan was provided, which helped, . But as warmth is insured on arrival during colder days, AC needs the same consideration in the hotter temperatures"

"Lovely sized room, great atmosphere in the Pub. Nice location to explore Ironbridge. Breakfast items already in the room (crunchy nut cornflakes / rice krispies / pain au chocolat with a small fridge containing milk / yoghurt / preserves / orange juice. Downside to this was the small fridge was a little noisy."

"We received a very warm welcome from hosts Jackie and Rob and our stay was absolutely exceptional! Our room was clean, neat, well appointed, with a refreshments tray including lovely homemade cake and the folder containing menus and directions for the nearby pubs for meals was well thought out and presented. "The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."

"My room was more like a small apartment which was clean & comfortable & the free breakfast was a nice bonus. I didn’t get chance to try the restaurant but it was busy and smelt delicious, overall a very good value for money stay & I’ll definitely stay at the George again if I’m in town."

"I stayed here overnight for a friend's wedding. The hotel is in a great quiet location with great views. The staff were extremely lovely and helpful. The bed was comfortable and warm and the breakfast was very nice. The rooms are spacious but are a little dated and signs of wear and tear noted. The rooms had great amenities.. but could benefit with having a pen and paper in the room for completeness."

"Lovely large room. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Generously refilled daily. Very friendly and helpful staff, made us feel welcome. Bar and air conditioned restaurant serving good homemade food. Good portion sizes too. Bus stop outside. Only 15 mins into Bridgenorth which is lovely too."
