This resulted in confusion and frustration when it was unclear who lost the room key. In the end, we found they gave our key to someone else."

"This was a very unique hotel. It’s not exactly a hotel though. It was a self check-in and no one was at the front desk. The room was great, I thought. And we booked one with the little outdoor Japanese style bath. It’s within walking distance of a lot of things, including the night market and a really nice Japanese neighborhood. The air-conditioning worked great! It was just a little awkward at the beginning because of the check-in process. "
