For the price, I was afraid it would be stuffy but it could not be more warm, welcoming, and laid back, but with top service. "

The hotel itself is an older building and the rooms are about as basic as they come, but we did have a fridge and microwave that was handy. For the price, easy parking, and location, I would easily stay again and recommend. "

"Check-in and check-out was smooth. Rooms offered espresso, but not have a kettle for heating water for tea, but upon request, the concierge sent up a large kettle asap. The staff was friendly and responsive.
The area around the hotel was fantastic to walk. It was also pretty close to a primary bus line that we could take to soldier field for a concert, as well as Montrose Beach the following day. This makes getting around Chicago so much nicer than driving it!"
