"Starting here on my own as a single woman I felt safe. My room, bathroom and the communal facilities were really clean, although there were signs of wear in a couple of places, for example the bed base. I was in the original hotel, where the building itself could do with some attention in places (window ledges, etc) which I hope they attend to because it's a beautiful building in a wonderful location. It's easy to get to on the edge of Matlock Bath and has plenty of parking.

"We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the peak district on our motorbikes. Plenty of parking and security cameras to ensure a good night's sleep. Our room was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The shower was big with great water pressure. "We had a wonderful stay at The View. The room was lovely, very spacious and overlooked the rolling hills, plus it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious and all cooked and prepared to order. We had one evening meal at the pub itself which again, we couldn’t fault. There is so much to do around the area and we will definitely be going back. A true gem of a find!"
