"Lovely stay at Kingscroft hotel, very peaceful location, check in was quick greeted by Wol on arrival ( such a lovely host) & taken to our room which was clean, big & exceptionally clean. Lots of extras including plenty of towels, toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee & biscuits. Bed was very comfy & bathroom was modern with great shower. 10 minutes to walk to centre of Buxton Breakfast , we aren’t vegetarian but my goodness we didn’t miss the usual bacon/ sausages! It was large excellently...

"I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was very dirty and clearly not properly cleaned. There were noticeable yellow stains on the wall next to the toilet in the bathroom, which was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the bedding was unhygienic and didn't feel clean at all. I definitely would not recommend staying here."

"Horrible experience. They gave me the wrong code for the lock box so I wasn’t able to get in until 645 pm. The place was a mess as well. When I finally got into my room it reeked of weed. When I told them about this they told me just to light a candle. I left and asked for a refund immediately, and they stopped responding until Expedia got involved. Then they eventually denied it. Awful service, gross place"
